Each piece within this collection is meticulously assembled from original hand-painted point paper ‘grid’ artworks preserved in our archive. These artworks were historically utilised in the production of high-quality textiles through the jacquard weaving technique.
In contemporary commercial weaving enterprises, the process—from design inception to operation of electronically controlled weaving machines—is predominantly digital. The traditional handmade method involving point papers offers a historical record of fashion and technological evolution.
